Section 23: OPA Elections Subject: Election Committee Issues Msg# 1183490

Watch the first elections committee meeting. Some folks had issue with the skillset presented. Now folks on the committee got their feelings hurt by folks, who feel they bring more to the table, who got their feelings hurt by not getting a spot initially. This is OP afterall. I watched it right after they held it. My confidence level was not high. I’m not sure that’s how an audit of the election should’ve been handled, though (through a newly appointed committee). I‘d suggest going down the list. Put up or shut up. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I am confused by the "no workability" and "cannot be trusted" comments. How do either of these go to the question of whether the individuals will put in the time? Is there the suspicion that they will seek to disqualify qualified candidates? I recall few election seasons that did not include a plea for enough candidates much less a scandal of otherwise qualified candidates being arbitrarily excluded. |
