Like it or not, political election signs are allowed, I believe.
If, what we are hearing tonight is true, in that OPA is attempting to prohibit all signs --- including political in that the election cycle is over --- I think it's a mistake. Just my opinion. Nothing new is going on. Except it certainly looks like certain individuals are seeking to sow seeds of discord. Enforcing sign regulations is nothing new. I notice rather few non-political signs. And they should not be there. Why is it a mistake to enforce the sign regs? If there is an attempt to enforce the sign regs, thank goodness. BTW, I don’t see many signs in the Parke at all. Did this conspiracy start there?

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I'm not aware of any threats. What I am saying is three things. One, OPA has allowed signs in yards for years....... Make America Great Again, Black Lives Matters, We Back the Blue, etc. Two, the Justice for Gavin crowd has been talking about expanding their signage strategy to include Justice for Gavin signs for residential properties. Three, there is talk of focusing these residential signs on Ocean Pines residential sites due in no small part because Ortt has a contract with OPA for three venues, two of which are open currently. If, what we are hearing tonight is true, in that OPA is attempting to prohibit all signs --- including political in that the election cycle is over --- I think it's a mistake. Just my opinion. |
