You don’t think Tiffany and Ray Knupp are capable of telling people to back off if they don’t agree? Interesting. They both appear to be able to handle themselves just fine. They are active participants in the site. Not saying there aren’t some loose screws on there. If DeAngelus’ lawyer told him not to talk, I doubt he told Ortt anything except what he said in his statement, when this is over and done, you will see I’ve done nothing wrong. I don’t know where all of this plead the 5th stuff is coming from that I’ve seen without specificity (wrt Ortt). I don’t think folks understand what that is. Not aware Ortt has done anything criminally wrong. Im sure healing has already begun. But, these folks don’t have closure so it can only go so far. People going to their website and telling everyone to sit down and shut up helps how? For clarity, that is the Do it for Gavin/Justice for Gavin Facebook site which is open to the public. Anyway, this isn’t my fight. I’m just not comfortable sitting by when people try to tell people how to grieve. I can attest that while grief waxes and wanes, it NEVER goes away, especially when you lose a child. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Tiffany is not the most vocal on that site. She gave a great interview on the radio last week. I admire her composure. She explicitly stated that she believes in the DA and MSP and fully understands the timeline. Despite this, most in the group are looking for, and expecting, closure now. That's not going to happen. She's a strong woman. My heart aches for her. Healing needs to begin. I don't believe the final outcome will satisfy anyone. Maryland's hit and run laws are not as severe as one would hope even when it results in a fatality. People need to prepare for that. My bet is that Ortt's initial release was based on lies told to him. I'm pretty sure he cannot plead the 5th so if DeAngeles told him anything, he's screwed. DeAngeles's first call was most likely to his attorney who probably told him to talk to no one. |
