So, you and your husband were walking the boardwalk and saw Matt Ortt at his operation there.
This sighting then prompted you to express concerns to the board that Ortt was not paying enough attention to OPA and he should have been at the clubhouse - as he was later on. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I'm not concerned about how I look but about Ocean Pines. My husband and I frequently walk the entire boardwalk. That's how we observed. I certainly did not expect the President to write that I was lying about my observation and to further write a condescending email that I don't have a satisfactory level of expertise for him to listen to a homeowners concern. My concerns about Ocean Pines being Ortt's first priority are not new. I was upset the Mother's Day when the Yacht Club did not offer sit down seating only carryout but Ortt had his servers at his other restaurants. (My husband didn't want carryout for celebrating with our family and his mother and other patrons felt the same). I did not jump to a doomsday conclusion but a natural level of concern when a partnership OPA contracted with over and under some very public and trying circumstances. Mr. DeAngelos was not some silent uninvolved partner and Kearston held a very important role (I can't even think of a time I didn't see her at the Yacht Club running around like an Energizer bunny multitasking.). Within minutes of hearing of this "break-up" I believe the Directors should have been asking the exact same question I did about coverage and how does this impact Ocean Pines. |
