Wow, just when you thought it couldn't get crazier. 

This is absolutely absurd, A few things here. 

The Get Involved group is not at war with anyone. The Get involved group has said nothing negative about the forum or the ROC page. That cant be said by other pages about the Get involved page. Regardless, it doesn't matter. Its like a playground, fights, bullying and nastiness happen. So what. 

The thought that Ocean Pines residents will stop using other internet groups in favor of a "new" Opa facebook group and newspaper is comical at best. It will be viewed as one sided by many. I would also ask who would be running it , but it actually doesn't matter. 

Who cares if there are 50 facebook or internet groups in Ocean Pines. People can join what they want. Where is this negative behavior from other facebook groups ? As far as i see it shows up in every group. Our own board has exhibited negative and hateful behavior not representative of what we should be showing in ocean pines. If they dont like you, then you cant even serve on a committee.  Its life, it happens. 

The Get involved page is also over 1k members, but like this OP forum the majority of the Get involved page is actually Ocean Pines residents. 

Reality check here, there will be no legal way for the board or this potential new social media committee to shut down any other internet pages or groups. This is nothing more than rhetoric nonsense.

I would suggest to others, if you want to be involved in our beautiful community then run for the board or join one of our existing committees. BTW, if you go onto the OceanPines.org page it tells you everything that is going on in Ocean Pines. If you watch the Ocean Pines you tube channel you can see every meeting that is recorded to stay up to date on issues.  Lets not create more division or drama than we already have. IMO
