Geese can pass on coccidiosis to  both dogs and humans thru their poop. It is a parasite that lives in the intestines. I would never walk my dogs around the ponds. We used to check the show dogs every month because of some of the dog show venues like fair grounds had geese and chickens etc on them.

When people say that goose poop can't hurt dogs or people the better go back to school.
