Joe,
Geese can pass on coccidiosis to both dogs and humans thru their poop. It is a parasite that lives in the intestines. I would never walk my dogs around the ponds. We used to check the show dogs every month because of some of the dog show venues like fair grounds had geese and chickens etc on them. When people say that goose poop can't hurt dogs or people the better go back to school. George |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: We will simply have to disagree on this issue. YOUR documents say killed geese fed to humans is a myth? Who wrote your documents? Perhaps you should do your own investigation rather than rely on misinformation from an animal rights organization. Perhaps you and others in your group have no problem with the amount of goose poop around the pond prior to killing quite a few. Others do. The situation was disgusting. |
