I would be honored, problem is, I don't know much about his service; he never spoke about it. If he was as good a soldier as he was a father, I'd have his CMH. I see you're proud of dad and have every right to be... your boy, too! |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: BTW, I have a picture of my WWII father, in the Philippines, driving a jeep with my name and my brother's on the bumper. Thumbs Up I still picture him walking out the front door, in uniform, carrying a large bag over his shoulder, on the way to the Pacific Theatre. My Dad was Beachmaster at Red Beach, Guadalcanal.
