For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I wonder if OPA is the safest HOA in the state. Is there less per-capita crime in OPA than in River Run or Riddle Farms? The disparity is between cities and an HOA is quick to see -- "the chance of being affected by property crime here just .06% while the 2nd safest place, a city" is 2.7%. On a percentage basis that is rather astronomical . It is certainly good that our subdivision is a safe place to live, but let's not think we're substantially safer than many other subdivisions in this general area. There are no stats on the others because they don't have police departments. OH...GOOD .....GRIEF! When something good happens.....REJOICE! We bitch and complain all the time about Ocean Pines. We are the size of many small TOWNS...call it what you will ...HOA ...Village....small town....whatever. BE GLAD! We need good news!! Nancy |
