![]() ![]() Section 5: OPA Board Subject: Marty and the Trailer Msg# 743124

Actually I went by Marty's home this morning and there was no trailer there. The story in the Times does not say a word about Marty's comment during the meeting that he would have a trailer in his driveway the next day. So much for full and complete reporting. However, why is this particular trailer more newsworthy than any of the other violations brought for board action that aren't covered by the local media? Is it becasue there is a pastor involved? I did find your quote in the story of some interest. "Unfortunately, some violations are minor and cause no harm," Rakow said. "But the rules are the rules. We don't want to start allowing people to put their small trailers all over Ocean Pines. Regardless of what's inside it, it is a box trailer." Abent's trailer is "minor and causes "no harm?" Sounds like a good quote for someone in the future to take to court. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Actually, Joe, I believe this is a news worthy matter. It's even a story in the Daily Times this morning with a photo of the trailer. I'd like to know if anyone who has seen the Times and the photo would want a trailer such as that located permanently next to their home. I have no idea if the trailer is there yet or not. Marty did in fact state that his trailer would be parked on his lot the next day. Do you not pass by Marty's house each day? |
