In many states such as Florida, a commercial vehicle is defined as a vehicle that has the capacity to carry more than 1 ton of weight, it does not mean it has to be a truck, tandem axle trailers can be and are classified as commercial vehicles, because they are rated to carry 2,000 lbs or more. In was just making the point that Martys trailer most likely is over the 1 ton limit you referenced in the post. |
