Terry: I have found over many years of experience with lawns in the Pines that best bet has been to install new sod. Instant gratification and a good healthy lawn for at least four or five years. Then, no matter what I do in the way of maintenance it seems the best thing to do is re-sad again. It works out to around $300.00 a year plus maintenance and care. Marty |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Inquiring Minds want Advice I live in the Pines and would like advice on trying to grow grass here. My soil seems depleted. Does a certain grass seed work with this zone/area?
anyone have experience re-generating a front lawn with existing tall pine trees on the lot?
any help would be appreciated..would like to try myself before going to "professional service"
Terry
