For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I see this is an older thread, however feeling like this needs to be brought back to the table. I think the pros outweigh the cons. we already have a lot of electric modes for mobility. Whether it is bikes or scooters. There is for sure a revenue value but also an open air freedom, almost motorcycle like feeling when getting around by golf cart. Also greatly reducing carbon footprint. Low speed vehicles are allowed on any street in MD with a speed limit rating of 30MPH or less. Considering the roads are HOA owned and regulated, I don’t know that speed limit would need to be lowered but not opposed to that. |
