Ralph Menton resigns as Chairman of Golf Governors; takes pot shots at Bill Rakow during public comments. 12/19/2007. Menton was upset about what he called innuendo about his participation in the golf business plan and then used innuendo to suggest some board members supported the innuendo.
Menton was upset because Rakow, at a Golf Advisory Committee meeting earlier in the day had asked what people thought about some issues in the Pines, issues such as slots and fluoridation of water, and mentioning that at a prior board meeting the OPA board president and General Manager have publicly expressed their view that OPA should not be involved in such issues because they were county matters.
