OPA Board Meeting of 9/14/2005. Charlie Herpen, spokesman for a group seeking to block the expansion of the marina at the Swim & Racquet Club spoke to the OPA Board during the public comments period of the board meeting. Herpen has collected about 1600 signatures on a petition to force the matter to referendum. Herpen said he would give the board a week to recconsider its position and speak with his group prior to filing the petition with Heather Cook, OPA Secretary. Several others spoke in favor of the project during this video segment.
