In this edition of Focus On The Pines, host Jack Barnes takes you right on site as work progresses on the Worcester County Veterans Memorial at Ocean Pines. This segment on 4/28/2005 covers setting of 5 flagpoles honoring service branches around the Circle of Honor, and a central, taller flagpole with a 500-pound, five-foot diameter bronze medallion at the base. The medallion was donated by builder Marvin Steen.
Workers are all volunteer members of the Ocean Pines community, under the direction of Bill Rakow, volunteer project manager.
