Ken, as Marty Clark likes to say about the Board of Directors -- if all seven agreed on everything, only one director would need to attend meetings.

That cannot happen, but it does highlight your suggestion that people now tend to hang out online in places like OP political Facebook pages, where everyone is in that cocoon and all agree on almost everything political about Ocean Pines.

I think they always did, but online places like Facebook make it far easier to isolate with only like-minded individuals. Unfortunate, actually.

Such isolation was never possible here.

I dare say, anyone expecting to see that here was sorely disappointed over the last 20+ years.

My commentaries and opinions may not please everyone, but they are mine and I have never voiced any opinion based on political expediency, or to please or not please any board members, political groups, etc.  My commentaries were never meant to please everyone. Impossible.

As I have said from time to time, one cannot write political commentary over 20 years and hope for any greater success than to see 50% of readers love it, and 50% hate it.
