When I started reporting on Ocean Pines in 2014, I got up to speed reading The Forum and The Progress. It was like drinking from a firehose at times, but there was no better crash course. Over the years, during breaking news big and small, this was often my first stop for meaningful information and commentary.
Joe, you're an institution that will be sorely missed. Communities need thoughtful, smart watchdogs – and you were like no other. Thanks for your friendship, and thanks for being such a fantastic teacher. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: OceanPinesForum.com's digital doors are closing For over twenty years, OceanPinesForum.com brought news, discussion, and commentary related to issues in and around Ocean Pines to members of the Ocean Pines Association. For better or worse, all things come to an end. As of now, OceanPinesForum.com remains open for "business as usual" but will soon be closed to posting new messages. The site will then remain open for some period of time as a read-only reference for anyone interested in the over 300,000 messages, over 1,000 images, videos, and articles posted to what most association members refer to as "The Forum" over the past 20+ years. My thanks go out to all those who supported OceanPinesForum.com by engaging in thoughtful discussion of all-things Ocean Pines, and all those who simply enjoyed reading those discussions.
