No matter what is posted on any Facebook page I would urge every Ocean Pines lot owner to vote. The more people get involved, the more votes cast the less impact the toxicity we should all abhor will have.
Absolutely. All eligible association members should vote. History says only about half do so, despite yearly implorations to vote. Since OceanPinesForum.com previously endorsed your candidacy, thanks for your public comments and good luck in the election. You deserve re-election. (Read-only - No Response Expected) : Forgive me, but what I cannot fathom is why the Get Involved Facebook group is endorsing you when their elected majority on the board fought nearly 100% of all you proposed, and hauled you on the carpet in closed session for the false charge that you released attorney-client privileged information. Now you are suddenly invaluable. Simple explanation - they shiver in fear that you could lose and Amy Peck take your place. Or worse, Peck take the place of any other board member up for re-election. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: A few points. No matter what is posted on any Facebook page I would urge every Ocean Pines lot owner to vote. The more people get involved, the more votes cast the less impact the toxicity we should all abhor will have. I am running for reelection to the Board, there is much that can and should be done over the next several years and I look forward to assisting in these undertaking. While some, including friends and family question my sanity, I love politics and have worked on many campaigns since I was in Junior High School (see how old I am). That said, it is my fervent hope that we all harken back to the words we got from our parents and grandparents; "If you don't have anything nice to say about someone, don't say anything." This ongoing flying dung show of who insults who, who threatens who, who is more evil is unnecessary, counter-productive for your favored candidate and probably reveals more about yourself than you would want anyone to see. This is especially true of anyone who posts anonymously (oh you brave internet warriors). You want to discuss issues, that is where all disagreements should be aired, insulting and demeaning any individual because you do not want that person to win an election should never take place. We would all better off if instead of ranting on-line we exercised a level of self-control that most children possess. |
