Joe:
”by your definition, the OPA Board of Directors has been a puppet board for the last three years” By my definition and thinking the OPA Board of Directors has been an effective and well run board for the last three years. Although I don’t always agree with the board I am happy with their direction and oversight. If there was a fourth candidate who I felt might improve the OPA Board of Directors I might consider voting for the fresh face, but that isn’t the case. I have already voted and I voted for Stuart Lakernick, Monica Rakowski, and Steve Jacobs. They have all served our community well. Marty |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Marty, with regard to what looks like your opposition to Amy Peck, and also others who say she will disrupt this fine-tuned sitting board of directors that always votes the same on every motion for almost three years, you said the following about running with Dave Stevens in a May 10, 2015 Gazette article by Josh Davis: “We didn’t run as a team,” Clarke said. “I’ve said a hundred times, if all seven of us are going to agree, only one of us has to go to a meeting. If you don’t have dissention, you have … a puppet board.” Well, by your definition, the OPA Board of Directors has been a puppet board for the last three years, but you want the same puppet board re-elected. I love this place. |
