I probably should have mentioned it before I read the poem that he persuaded me to do. As with several of these memorial brick memorials, he's been the driving force but will never admit it.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Local TV covered the event. Two or three OPA board members were interviewed. Marie Gilmore, president of the Memorial Foundation, was present but not interviewed. Most importantly, Marty Clarke was not interviewed. Why most importantly? Because the Memorial service for Kerchner only happened due to Clarke’s SOLITARY initiative. PERIOD. I’ll need to recheck the interviews and video but, unfortunately, Clarke’s role may not have even been mentioned. |
