As for the idea of a new larger racquet center, it is not a new idea. Viola has mentioned it many times in the past, including when I was on the board and presented a plan for a new platform tennis warming hut. At that time, I was told that the footprint for the racquet center could not be expanded due to the limit on impervious surfaces. Recently, drawings were provided of a two-story expanded racquet center. That idea was scrapped when it was realized that too much square footage would be lost to stairs/elevators. If in fact, as the RSAC committee is reporting, the footprint can indeed be expanded, that could prove a viable and cost-effective approach to improving the center.  

As for misinformation, there appears to be a fair share of it.  Apparently, at the March RSAC meeting, with Doug Parks and Rick Farr in attendance, once again the Committee made it very clear that they did not recommend in February, nor do they now, only having the option to join an all inclusive three sport membership.
