For Immediate Release
March 25, 2024 Morning update on OPA Racquet Center The Ocean Pines Association has taken proactive steps towards assessing the feasibility of reopening the Ocean Pines Racquet Center without utilizing the Racquet Center building and its associated facilities. Following concerns raised during a Board meeting on Saturday regarding the safety of the Racquet Center building, OPA closed the center on Sunday as a precautionary measure. In response to community inquiries and the desire to resume activities at the Racquet Center, OPA has scheduled a call with insurance carriers at 9:30 a.m. today. During this call, OPA will seek confirmation from insurance carriers about the potential for reopening the center in a manner that ensures the safety and well-being of all users, even without access to the Racquet Center building and its bathrooms. Once the outcome of the call is determined and confirmed, OPA will promptly issue another announcement to the community, detailing the next steps and any relevant updates. OPA is also in the process of assessing the Racquet Center building and any safety issues related to the structure. We appreciate your patience during this time. The health and safety of Association members and residents continues to be our top priority. |
