Here is a portion of the transcript of the public comments regarding the Racquet Center that was presented at Saturday's meeting: "We are concerned by the age of the building in terms of its structural soundness. We asked at our meeting (RSAC Meeting) last week when the proper legally required structural inspections were performed and neither of the two Board Members (Past President Doug Parks and now President Rick Farr) nor the GM present could provide that information. We are concerned that the building may not be safe due to a potential mold/mildew issue behind the walls which was making the employees sick and, in some cases, contributed to them quitting. We are worried that we may end up in a situation similar to the golf course building where they started with a renovation and found mold in the building and had to tear the whole building down and start over which ended up costing a lot more money in the end. The building needs a proper central HVAC system installed as opposed to the three completely different systems that are in the current building that don't properly ventilate the spaces." Transcript was taken from the video by Ocean Pines ROC and the notes in parenthesis were added. | ||||||
