| IMHO,the complete lack of affordable seasonal housing in Northern WoCo is the major contributing factor. The crazy thing is that most have seen this problem only get worse year after year,yet absolutely nothing has been done about it. You hear it mentioned from time to time at City Council meetings or Commissioner meetings,but still nothing. As long as local officials continue kicking that can down the road,I expect it to get worse. And with gas around $3.50/gallon,people aren't going to drive very far every day for a summer job. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Chik fil a in West OC is offering a $1000 end of season bonus plus $2/hour increase for the summer. Saw the new Royal Farms is advertising a $500 signing bonus. Businesses are definitely trying creative ideas to get employees. |
