For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I agree with Dave. The JFG group is pushing murder, homicide, etc charges. This isn't going to happen so then what? More anger and vengeance? The maximum sentence in MD is: Under Maryland Transportation Code § 27-113, leaving the scene of an accident resulting in serious bodily injury is a felony punishable by up to 5 years in prison and a fine of up to $5,000. If the accident results in death, hit and run carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine. The “hit“ part of the incident is a non issue. There will be no charges for that. The JFG group is all over the place with it's anger. Their anger should be with the people directly involved in the incident and the DA. That's it. |
