![]() As we all know, the person who caused this should have stopped to render aid, dial 911, etc. Given that he/she did not stop, they should have stepped up the next day and had the courage to own up to their involvment. None of that happened. The actual collison was likely an accident. But fleeing the scene indicates that there was more at play, maybe intoxication? In any event, the owner of the vehicle, and the others having access to the vehicle, have chosen to "lawyer up" to protect themselves from legal liability when they could have made it much better by stopping at the scene instead of disregarding the welfare of the person who ultimately died. There is no justification that can excuse that behavior. |
