Unbelievable. Thank you for further articulating this nonsense for all to read. Who on the board is buying into this Facebook warfare?
OPA’s own paper? What is that all about? Who would manage/control this OPA official social media group you propose? Have you offered your services? Who would be the person OPA should pick to determine who can post messages and who can’t? What messages are acceptable and what are not? Surely you have someone in mind. Why not just be upfront and admit the target is Diller’s group? The scary thing is Colette Horn just appointed someone promoting this nonsense to the candidate Search Committee. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: In my opinion, the Ocean Pines Association definitely needs a Social Media / Marketing Committee to keep on top of the negativity, hate and attacks that are out of control against anyone that tries contribute to the association. If the OPA potentially were to have their own Paper and/or Social Media Group the residents might be more likely to read & communicate where centralized factual information is being shared. By attending meetings, listening to residents and now enduring personal attacks, it's amazing that anyone would ever want to be a part of working with the association. No one can shut down other groups, however, if there were an alternative with answers and factual information without the constant attacks our residents just might be more attracted to join an OPA group. Ideas and suggestions are not meant for crucifying a person but should be used for open discussions. But then again, if its drama and chaos that some constantly seek then nothing anyone can do or say will be of help! |
