I believe most people think it was named for a compass direction. The name should be changed to "Phyliss East Room."
Definitely agree. Phylliss was a distant cousin and it still bothers me the way her retirement was handled. She deserved more respect at the time than she received from management. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: To be more specific, Michelle‘s institutional knowledge will be impossible to replace. The exact same thing was said of Phyliss East. OPA survived. The East Room in the Community Center is named for Phyliss East. I believe most people think it was named for a compass direction. The name should be changed to "Phyliss East Room." |
