I have studied them, hunted them, eaten them, and written about them for decades, often including research with federal and state wildlife biologists.

As for the committee takeover by animal rights folks, that is a fact and it happened as a result of the the last goose kill approved by the state and Feds. 

When the committee expert states categorically that killing the geese is not an option and not even debatable, the situation speaks for itself.

Unfortunately, too many people these days act out of emotional attachment and not what is the best way to control an overpopulation even when the only effective way is reducing the overpopulation by killing some. A solution allowed by state and federal law.
