Despite Lisi's rec against Atlantic Plumbing, I hired that company and my water heater was replaced today. I was quite satisfied with the price and the work.
I had gotten prices for installation only ranging from $250 (from an experienced maintenance man, but not a licensed plumber) to $650 from the company working with/for Home Depot. Prices for installation plus water heater went as high as $1,045. Atlantic Plumbing gave me the best price and my sister has been very pleased with the work they did for her, although I did not know that until I had made an appointment with that company. Nancy |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Sorry someone else had a bad experience. I have used them for several plumbing issues including a new water heater. They provided next day service, procured the new water heater and pan, removed the old heater, installed and retrofitted the new heater for a cost of $800. The new water heater was of the highest rating that choptank electric gives, and Atlantic Plumbing left me the paperwork to file with choptank electric for a $125 rebate which we received from choptank in five days.
