I believe they have done there best. The public mindset of the BOD was against OPA directly receiving slots revenue long before Reid made his motion to explore the issue. After exploration the BOD announced they were against, or still against, OPA directly receiving slots revenue. Nobody should be surprised with the results. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Joe, Forget all the mumbo-jumbo from me and everyone else discussing this. Would you like to see OPA receive 10% of slots money coming to county, an amount that would begin at around $500,000 and likely rise to $1 million or more per year? Certainly I would.. I just think that some of the comments directed at the three Directors are uncalled for. ie: strawman, being in awe around politicians, wimped out and so forth. Unless they have a hidden agenda about why they don't want any money earmarked for OPA, I believe they have done there best. But you are right Joe, I'll just forget all the mumbo-jumbo and ask what can I do to help our effort in getting a guaranteed % from the State/County. Robert. |
