His name is "JOEY". He was brought to our shelter on Dec. 3rd, by a girl who untied him from a pole to get him away from a bunch of kids that were throwing things at him and kicking at him. We took him to the vet, and he said it was one of the worst cases of mange he's ever seen, but is treatable. We

were of course glad to hear that, but "JOEY" still has a long way to go to get over the mange, but even farther to get over the abuse. I saw "JOEY" for the first time this past Tuesday, and he wouldn't even raise his eyes or his head to look at me. Almost broke my heart. I went back to see him yesterday, same thing. Today was different, THANK YOU, GOD. He was doing better. He snuggled to me, gave me a kiss, and looked into my eyes with the most beautiful dog eyes I have ever seen in 73 years. So, now to the "Need Help" part!!!!! We run the shelter mostly on donations. I know this won't be a good time to ask for help, but I am going to do it anyway (for JOEY) and the 40 plus dogs and 150 plus or minus cats. If we exceed JOEY's vet bills, any moneys above will go toward the shelters expenses. Please do what you can!!!!!
