Description: Worcester County Veterans Memorial Committee is pleased to announce that Gregory Turner, owner of Turner Construction in Ocean Pines, has made a major donation of $5,000 for the Veteran's Memorial. Greg made in donation in honor of his father, Cyril S. Turner Jr., who fought in WWII with the US Navy Seabees and his grandfather, Cyril S. Turner Sr, who was with the Army ambulance corps in the European Theater in WWI. Greg is shown above with Co-Chair Sharyn O'Hare. Donations are still being accepted to build phase II of the memorial, the educational phase. A fund is also being established for the upkeep and maintenance of the memorial.
