The Ocean Pines Anglers Club hosted the annual Teach A Kid To Fish event on Saturday at the South Gate Pond. . Beautiful weather greeted Chairman Lee Phillips and his volunteers as close to 100 Kids, Parents and Grandparents learned about the sport of fishing. Young aspiring anglers visited stations exhibiting fishing rules, lure selection, knot tying, tackle, fish identification and casting. Free bait was provided so newly acquired skills could be put to use by the kids. Fish were caught and at the conclusion of the event a drawing was held and one young angler went home with a new rod and reel . All the young anglers left with a new appreciation for the sport of fishing and a smile on their face.
